For more than 180 years, Reedham has adapted to meet the changing needs of children and young people. This is simply the next chapter in that story.

Last year, we announced that Reedham Children’s Trust would be joining forces with Croydon Voluntary Action (CVA). Since then, we’ve been working together to shape what that future looks like, and we’re delighted to share our draft Business Plan.

Whilst much is changing, one thing isn’t. Children and young people will continue to remain at the heart of everything we do.

By bringing together Reedham’s long history of supporting children and young people with CVA’s expertise in strengthening Croydon’s voluntary sector, we’re creating an organisation that can have an even greater impact across our borough.

This new organisation will enable us to attract greater investment into Croydon, strengthen local organisations and partnerships, and create more opportunities for children, young people and communities.

In simple terms, this means we’ll be able to bring more funding into Croydon, work alongside more local organisations and reach even more children and families who need support.

This isn’t about moving away from Reedham’s mission; it’s about building on it. Everything our supporters have helped us achieve over the years remains at the heart of our future. Together, we’ll continue to help children and young people overcome challenges, fulfil their potential and build brighter futures.

The new organisation’s name and identity are still being developed, so you’ll continue to hear from Reedham for now. We’ll share more details in the coming months as plans progress.

As this is a draft Business Plan, we’d genuinely welcome your thoughts. Whether you’re a donor, partner, volunteer, alumnus, community supporter or simply interested in our work, we’d love to hear your feedback as we shape this exciting next chapter. Please email Sarah Burns by 1 September 2026.
